Cutting Attachment STIHL is the only manufacturer in the industry to produce its own chain saws, guide bars, saw chains and chain sprockets. A cutting attachment consists of the saw chain, guide bar and chain sprocket. The cutting attachment that comes standard is designed to exactly match the chain saw. Mounting the Bar and Chain Removing the chain sprocket cover 1 2 N Unscrew the nuts and take off the chain sprocket cover. 143BA034 KN English Disengaging the chain brake. N Pull the hand guarad towards the front handle until there is an audible click - the chain brake is disengaged. Fitting the chain 001BA186 KN 001BA191 KN a 3 t = a : 2 - The pitch (t) of the saw chain (1), chain sprocket and the nose sprocket of the Rollomatic guide bar must match. - The drive link gauge (2) of the saw chain (1) must match the groove width of the guide bar (3). A cutting attachment consists of the saw
chain, guide bar and chain sprocket.
The cutting attachment that comes
standard is designed to exactly match
the chain saw.
The pitch (t) of the saw chain (1),
chain sprocket and the nose
sprocket of the Rollomatic guide bar
must match.
The drive link gauge (2) of the saw
chain (1) must match the groove
width of the guide bar (3).
If non-matching components are used,
the cutting attachment may be damaged
beyond repair after a short period of
operation.
Removing the chain sprocket cover

Unscrew the nuts and take off the
chain sprocket cover.
N
Turn the screw (1)
counterclockwise until the tensioner
slide (2) butts against the left end of
the housing slot.
Disengaging the chain brake.

Pull the hand guarad towards the
front handle until there is an audible
click – the chain brake is
disengaged.
Fitting the chain
N
Fit the chain – start at the bar nose.
