Function keys Function keys are specific key combinations that let you quickly change the system configuration directly from the keyboard without running a system program. Display automatic power off *1 This feature automatically cuts off power to the computer's display panel when there is no keyboard input for a specified time, with power being restored the next time a key is pressed. This can be specified in the Power Options. HDD automatic power This feature automatically cuts off power to the off *1 hard disk drive when it is not accessed for a specified time, with power being restored when the hard disk drive is next accessed. This can be specified in the Power Options. System automatic Sleep/Hibernation Mode *1 This feature automatically shuts down the system into either Sleep Mode or Hibernation Mode when there is no input or hardware access for a specified time. This can be specified in the Power Options. Power on password Two levels of password security, supervisor and user, are available to prevent unauthorized access to your computer. Heat dispersal *1 To protect against overheating, the processor has an internal temperature sensor so that, if the computer's internal temperature rises to a certain level, the cooling fan is turned on or the processing speed is lowered. This can be specified in the Power Options. Sleep Mode If you have to interrupt your work, you can use this feature to allow you to turn off power to the computer without exiting from your software. Data is maintained in the computer's main memory so that when you next turn on the power, you can continue working right where you left off. Hibernation Mode This feature lets you turn off the power to the computer without exiting from your software. The contents of main memory are automatically saved to the Hard Disk Drive so that when you next turn the power on again, you can continue working right where you left off.
