22 Setting up and using the port replicator Undocking your computer Undocking your computer The system supports hot docking and undocking. Do not disconnect the computer from the port replicator while an application is running or while the Docked or LAN active lights are on. When the Docked light is off and the LAN connected light is green, it is safe to disconnect. To disconnect a computer from the port replicator, first save all of your work and then follow the steps below: 1 Make sure the computer lock switch on the port replicator is set to the unlocked position. To avoid damaging the hooks on the port replicator, do not lift up the computer without sliding the computer backwards.

Undocking your computer
The system supports hot docking and undocking.
Do not disconnect the computer from the port replicator while an
application is running or while the Docked or LAN active lights are
on. When the Docked light is off and the LAN connected light is
green, it is safe to disconnect.
To disconnect a computer from the port replicator, first save all of
your work and then follow the steps below:

Make sure the computer lock switch on the port replicator is set
to the unlocked position.

Press the Eject button on the port replicator. The Docked light
will turn off.

After the Docked light on the port replicator turns off, pull the
