42 Getting Started Using the device for the first time Initial setup After turning on your device for the first time, follow the onscreen instructions on each screen in order to properly install the operating system and begin using your device. Using the Start menu Click or touch the Start ( ) button in the lower-left corner of the Desktop or press the Windows ( ) key, when the optional keyboard dock is connected, to open the Start menu. Here you can perform various commands, including basic tasks like turning off the power and advanced PC settings. Using the device for the first time
Initial setup
After turning on your device for the first time, follow the on-
screen instructions on each screen in order to properly install
the operating system and begin using your device.
Using the Start menu
Click or touch the
Start
(
) button in the lower-left corner
of the Desktop or press the
Windows

) key, when the
optional keyboard dock is connected, to open the Start
menu. Here you can perform various commands, including
basic tasks like turning off the power and advanced PC
settings.
