LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) monitors lane markings by your vehicle and notifies you if you drift too close to these lines. With this function turned on, the screen displays yellow lines representing the lane markings as a caution as you approach the markings. As you drift too close to one of the lane markings, the line on the screen turns red and the device sounds a warning tone. LDWS functions best when the lanes are clearly marked and free from obstructions. It is NOT a substitute for careful driving and paying attention to the road. Go to Menu/Function Settings/LWDS to turn this function on and off. 14
