VIZIO VF550XVT1A User Manual Digital Closed Caption Style This option sets the Closed Caption style when watching DTV. Press the MENU button to bring up the On Screen Display (OSD). Press the " button to highlight the Setup option. Press the $ button to enter the Setup sub-menu. Press the "%button to highlight the CC option and Press the $ button to select the option. Press the "%button to highlight the Caption Style option Press either # or $ button to toggle between the two options As Broadcaster or Custom. When As Broadcaster is selected, the style will be applied as it is received from the broadcaster with the program, and cannot be altered by the viewer. When Custom is selected, you may customize the way Closed Captioning will be displayed. Font Size (size of lettering) Press the "%button to highlight the Font Size option. Press the $ button to select from the available sizes. Font Color (letter color) Press the "%button to highlight the Font Color option. Press the $ button to select from the available colors. Font Opacity (letter transparency) with more transparency, picture shows through the letters; with less transparency, lettering blocks the picture. Press the "%button to highlight the Font Opacity option. Press the $ button to set the font opacity. Background Color (color of the background area where Closed Caption is displayed) Press the "%button to highlight the Background Color option. Press the $ button to select from the available colors. Background Opacity - With less opacity, the picture shows through the background; with more opacity, the background blocks the picture. Press the "%button to highlight the Background Opacity option. Press the # or $ button to set the background opacity. Window Color (selects the color for the area where characters will be displayed) Press the "%button to highlight the Window Color option. Press the $ button to select from the available colors. Window Opacity with less opacity, the picture shows through the window background; with more opacity, the window background blocks the picture Press the "%button to highlight the Window Opacity option.
