This option allows blocking of selected French Canadian English TV or Cable channels based on age. Press the MENU button to bring up the On Screen Display (OSD). Press the " button to highlight the Setup option. Press the OK button to enter the Setup sub-menu. Press the " button to highlight the Parental option. Press the $ button to enter password. Press the " button to highlight the Canadian French Rating option. Press the $ button to go to the Rating Level sub-menu. The TV Rating levels can be set for program blocking according to age: G - General audience 8 ans+ - General - not recommended for young children 13 ans+ - Not suitable for children under 13 years of age 16 ans+ - Not suitable for under 16 years of age 18 ans+ - Adults only Press the ! or " button to navigate through the rating options. Press the Press OK button to block (locked) or allow (unlocked). When a higher level (age) is blocked, all age levels below will be blocked. Check for DTV Rating This option is designed to update the TV or Movie table for different ratings of programs being viewed in your local or regional area. It is called a Regional Rating Table. It will allow the parental guidance control feature in your TV to have the most current parental control database for a Digital TV. This option may be available in the future for activation. This option works as follows: Whenever you use the Parental Control feature and this option has been activated in your area, the Check for New DTV Rating will be a solid color indicating that an update is available for any rating tables. To check for updates to the Regional Rating Table: Press the MENU button to bring up the On Screen Display (OSD). Press the " button to highlight the Setup option. Press the OK button to enter the Setup sub-menu. Press the " button to highlight Parental. Press the $ button to enter the Parental control sub-menu. After entering the password, Press the " button to highlight DTV Rating. Observe the status of the DTV Rating. If option is faded out, no update is available (the option is not activated in your area). If it is not faded out, press the $ button to execute this operation. Please follow the on screen instructions to complete the procedure.
