TROUBLE-SHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE Inspect and tighten all parts each time you use the cross training system. Replace any worn parts immediately. The cross training system can be cleaned using a damp cloth and mild non-abrasive detergent. Do not use solvents. TIGHTENING THE CABLES If there is slack in the cables before resistance is felt, the cables can be tightened. Follow the instructions below to tighten the cables. To tighten the cables attached to the weight stack near the stepper, find the "U" Bracket (19). Turn the 5/16" Nylock Nut (1) inside the Long "U" Bracket until the cables are properly tightened. To tighten the cables attached to the weight stack near the cam arm, find the two "I" Plates (108). Remove the 3/8" Nylock Nut (not shown) and 3/8" x 1 3/4" Bolt (6) attaching the lower 3" Pulley (7) to the "I" Plates. Attach the Pulley to the next higher holes in the "I" Plates with the Nylock Nut 19 and Bolt. Repeat until the cables are properly tightened. 108 6 7 If the cables cannot be tightened as described above, the cables may need to be replaced. See the back cover of this owner's manual for information about ordering replacement parts. 22
