Their nominal level is +4 dBm. ® DIGITAL INPUT Connectors These connectors can receive digital stereo input in AES/EBU or YAMAHA Y2 formats respectively. Output ® ANALOG OUTPUT L Connectors These connectors are for the L side of analog output. The numbers of each connector correspond to the numbers on the front panel for each respective divider channel. ® ANALOG OUTPUT R Connectors These connectors are for the R side of analog output. The numbers of each connector correspond to the numbers on the front panel for each respective divider channel. External Control 0 RS-485 Port Connectors These connectors are used to connect external control devices. Through the RS-485 port it is possible to connect the unit with other D2040 units (up to 31) and transfer memory data. Connection to personal computer for remote control is also possible. Data can be transferred in both directions through either connector (see section on external control and RS-485 networks). 0 Other ® PROTECT Switch (for memory protection) With this switch it is possible to enable or disable operation of all front panel controls except the power switch. OFF Position All front panel controls enabled MEMORY Position....Writing to memory and title editing disabled KEY Position All front panel controls except power switch disabled. Even if control knobs are tampered manually with they will return to their original settings. 0 OUTPUT LEVEL (output signal nominal level) Switch This switch selects the nominal level of the output signal. Set this switch to the appropriate level for the device connected. ® Fan This is the exhaust fan that is essential for the cooling of the unit. Make absolutely sure that it is able to operate efficiently. C) Power Cord 10
