ADJUSTING THE PARAMETER SETTINGS FOR PRO LOGIC Changing parameter settings You can adjust the values of PRO LOGIC Music parameters so the sound fields are recreated accurately in your listening room. Adjustments should be made with the remote control. PROGRAM HALL JAZZ CLUB ROCK CONCERT MUSIC INTRODUCTION PRO LOGIC Music parameter descriptions I PANORAMA Function: Turning the function on extends the front stereo image to include the surround speakers for wraparound effect. OFF/ON, initial setting is OFF. Choices: PREPARATION ENTERTAINMENT TV SPORTS MONO MOVIE MOVIE 1 - THEATER - 2 q / DTS SUR. I DIMENSION 1 Function: Gradually adjusts the soundfield either towards the front or towards the rear. Control range: -3 (towards the rear) to +3 (towards the front), initial setting is STD (standard). MATRIX 6.1 SELECT LEVEL SET MENU 2 - DSP TEST + STEREO EFFECT I CT WIDTH (Center width) 3 Function: Adjusts the center image from all three front speakers to varying degrees. The larger the value, adjusts the center image towards the main left and right speakers. Control range: 0 (center channel sound is output only from center speaker) to 7 (center channel sound is output only from main left and right speakers), initial setting is 3. BASIC OPERATION 1 Select PRO LOGIC Music. q / DTS SUR. SELECT ADVANCED OPERATION 2 Press u / d to select the parameter. - DSP + 3 Press +/- to change the parameter value. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - DSP + 4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 above as necessary to change other parameters. Note • You cannot change parameter values when "10 MEM. GUARD" on the SET MENU is set to ON. APPENDIX Memory back-up The memory back-up circuit prevents the stored data from being lost even if this unit is set in the standby mode, the power cord is disconnected from the AC outlet, or the power supply is temporarily cut due to power failure. However, if the power is cut for more than one week, the parameter value you edited will return to the factory setting. If so, edit the parameter value again. English 47

Changing parameter settings
You can adjust the values of PRO LOGIC
Music
parameters so the sound fields are recreated accurately in
your listening room.

• You cannot change parameter values when “10 MEM.
GUARD” on the SET MENU is set to ON.
Memory back-up
The memory back-up circuit prevents the stored data
from being lost even if this unit is set in the standby
mode, the power cord is disconnected from the AC
outlet, or the power supply is temporarily cut due to
power failure. However, if the power is cut for more
than one week, the parameter value you edited will
return to the factory setting. If so, edit the parameter
value again.
