Configuring the advanced settings (ADVANCED SETUP menu) Basic operation of the ADVANCED SETUP menu Perform the following basic procedure to operate the "ADVANCED SETUP" menu while viewing the front display. 1 Set the unit to standby mode. 2 While holding down STRAIGHT on the front panel, press z (power). z (power) PROGRAM STRAIGHT The top item and its setting of the "ADVANCED SETUP" menu appear on the front display. 3 Press PROGRAM to select an item. 4 Press STRAIGHT to select a setting. 5 Press z (power) to set the unit to standby mode and turn it on again. This completes the settings. NOTE For details on the default settings, see the following: ▪ "Default settings of the ADVANCED SETUP menu" (p.158) ADVANCED SETUP menu items Use the following table to configure system settings of the unit. Item SP IMP. REMOTE ID TU TV FORMAT 4K MODE BKUP/RSTR INIT UPDATE VERSION Function (U.S.A. and Canada models only) Changes the speaker impedance setting. Selects the unit's remote control ID. (Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, General, and Central and South America models only) Changes the FM/AM tuning frequency setting. Switches the video signal type of HDMI output. Selects the HDMI 4K signal format. Backups and restores all the settings for the unit. Restores the default settings. Updates the firmware.
