Changing Your Personal Code To change your personal code, simply repeat the steps for entering your personal code using a new series of numbers; the previous personal code will be erased and replaced by the new code. Unlocking the Doors with the Keyless Entry System To unlock the driver's door, simply enter your personal code. To unlock the passenger's door and the sliding door, enter your personal code and press the 3/4 button within five seconds. To unlock the liftgate, press the 5/6 button within five seconds of unlocking the driver's door. Locking the Doors To lock all of the doors, press the 7/8 and 9/10 buttons at the same time. To prevent you from locking your keys in your vehicle, this feature will not operate if the key is in the ignition. It also will not operate if the front doors, sliding door or the liftgate are open. Illuminated Entry System (Available with Keyless Entry System) Refer to Entry system, illuminated in the Index for details. Remote Keyless Entry System (If equipped) Your vehicle may be equipped with a remote keyless entry system. This option will allow you to open your vehicle using a remote transmitter from distances of up to 49 feet (15 meters) away. The remote feature will operate only when the ignition is in the OFF position. The transmitter can unlock the driver's door, unlock all doors, lock all doors, and activate the vehicle's anti-theft system (if equipped). 144
