Mounting the OpenCom 150 Rack InfoCom System The OpenCom 150 is also available as rack version for mounting in a standard 19" EIA rackmount cabinet. DSL OpenCom 150 Rack Frame and Ports 6.1 Safety Precautions The system needs to be mounted in earthed cabinets or cases. Lines and cables connected to the communications system must only be laid inside buildings. Use a shielded Ethernet cable (STP cable, Shielded Twisted Pair cable) to connect the OpenCom 150 to a Local Area Network (LAN). The ambient temperature of the OpenCom 150 Rack infocom system should not exceed 55°C. If the device is installed together with other active components, it may be necessary to mount additional ventilation fans in the installation cabinet. Patch cables have to be connected before connecting the system to the power supply. Installation of the system, and in particular connection to the power supply and protective earthing, should only be performed by skilled, qualified personnel. EN, IEC regulations, along with other recognised technical rules regarding safety, must be observed. Please note: Before opening the device, pull out the plug. 72
