137 Configuring the Acer Smart Console Settings Configuring BIOS Before configuring Acer Smart Console, follow the instructions below to configure the system BIOS settings. A. Enabling COM Port for SOL (IPMI) 1 Press the key at bootup to enter the BIOS Setup utility. 2 Select Advanced and to enter the Advanced menu. 3 From the Advanced menu, select Console Redirection and press . 4 Make sure that the COM port for SOL (COM2) is enabled. If not, Select COM2 Console Redirection and press . (For IPMI to work properly, the BIOS will set the console redirection on this port by default.)
