164 Appendix C Acer Smart Console Configuring the SMTP Settings This feature allows the user to configure SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) settings for email transmission through the network. When you click the icon in the Options window, the following screen will display. To configure SMTP settings, follow the instructions below. 1 Check the box to enable SMTP SSL Authentication support. Once SMTP SSL Authentication is enabled, enter information in the fields below. 2 Enter the IP address for the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) Mail server. The SMTP port number will be displayed. 3 Enter the user name for your SMTP Mail server. (Optional) 4 Enter the user password for your SMTP Mail server. (Optional) The status of the sender's address will be displayed. 5 After entering the information above, click to save the settings.
