Installing the battery Slide the battery cover down and lift up. Place the battery into the battery compartment, lining up the battery connectors with those at the top of the compartment. Align the tabs on the battery cover and carefully slide the battery cover until it clicks into place. CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS. CAUTION: DO NOT INSERT THE BATTERY VERTICALLY INTO THE COMPARTMENT AS IT MAY DAMAGE THE CONTACTS. Charging the battery For initial use, you need to charge your smartphone for eight hours. After that you can charge it each day to recharge the battery to full capacity. Connect the AC adapter cord to the micro USB connector on your smartphone. Note: The fastest way to charge your smartphone is with the included AC adapter. Removing the battery Open the battery compartment as shown in "Installing the battery" on page 11. Lift the battery out of the compartment using the tab on the top of the battery. Open the battery compartment as shown in

. Lift the
battery out of the compartment using the tab
on the top of the battery.
Replace the battery cover as described above.
