Onboard IDE Operate Mode [Enhanced Mode] Allows selection of the IDE operation mode depending on the installed operating system (OS). Set to [Enhanced Mode] if you are using native OS, e.g. Windows® 2000/XP. Set to [Compatible Mode] if you are using legacy OS, e.g. Windows ME/98/NT, MS-DOS. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Compatible Mode] [Enhanced Mode] Enhanced Mode Support On [S-ATA Mode] The default of this item is [S-ATA]. This mode allows you to set Serial ATA, Parallel ATA, or both, to native mode. Suggest users to keep this default setting for the stability of the system. When using Parallel ATA on legacy OS, e.g. Windows ME/98/NT, MS-DOS under this mode, it will operate successfully only without installing Serial ATA. [P-ARA+S-ATA] and [P-ATA] are special options for advanced users. If compatible problems emerge, please restore the mode to the default. Configuration options: [P-ARA+S-ATA] [S-ATA Mode] [P-ATA] Onboard IDE Operate Mode and the sub-options will show up only when Configure SATA As is set up as [Standard IDE] Onboard Serial-ATA BOOTROM [Enabled] This mode allows you to enable or disable Serial-ATA bootrom function. It will only show up when Configure SATA As is set up as RAID. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] Onboard Serial-ATA BOOTROM and the sub-options will show up only when Configure SATA As is set up as [RAID] ALPE and ASP [Disabled] This mode allows you to enable or disable ALPE and ASP. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] Stagger and Spinup Support [Disabled] This mode allows you to enable or disable Stagger and Spinup Support.
