Jams in the multi-purpose tray If paper jams in the multi-purpose tray, CLEAR PAPER JAM is displayed on the LCD. If necessary, remove the document tray when clearing paper jams. n You do not need to unplug the fax when clearing paper jams. 1 Remove the paper stack from the multi-purpose tray. 2 Gently pull any jammed paper out of the fax as shown. Pull it gently in either direction. 3 Reload the paper stack in the multi-purpose tray (see p. 1-7). Make sure the stack does not exceed the paper limit mark (P). 4 Press [Stop]. 8-2
