Advanced Functions Adjusting the Exposure Mode Dial Adjust the exposure compensation setting to avoid making the subject too dark when it is backlit or shot against a bright background, or to avoid making lights appear too bright in night shots. 1 Select *(+/- (Exp.)) in the FUNC. menu. z See Selecting Menus and Settings (p. 66). * The current setting is displayed. 2 Adjust the compensation using the or button. z The settings can be adjusted in 1/3 stops in the range of -2 stops to +2 stops.
