Problem The card reader is missing or is not recognized. Remedy 1 Connect a supported or a known working card reader. Remedy 2 Plug the card reader into a different USB port on the ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV device. Remedy 3 Reboot the ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV device. Problem The card has been removed, or the card type is not recognized. Remedy Make sure that you only insert PIV or CAC cards into the card reader, and leave the card in the card reader while performing operations on the ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV device. Problem PIV card type support is not enabled, and a PIV card was inserted into the card reader.
