3.9 Configuring the S/MIME Settings The S/MIME function in ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV enables you to send a signed and secure e-mail message attachment. ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV S/MIME maintains FIPS 140-2 compliance when it is running in the FIPS 140-2 mode. Follow the procedure below to configure and save the secure e-mail settings in the persistent data storage in the ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV device. 1. Log on to the ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV device as the Administrator. For instructions on how to log on to the device as the Administrator, see Chapter 2, "Logging On," on p. 17. Configuring the S/MIME Settings
The S/MIME function in ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV enables you to send a signed and
secure e-mail message attachment.
ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV S/MIME maintains FIPS 140-2 compliance when it is running
in the FIPS 140-2 mode.
Follow the procedure below to configure and save the secure e-mail settings in the
persistent data storage in the ScanFront 400 CAC/PIV device.
