Chapter 22 Configuring Multilink Point-to-Point Protocol Connections Verifying and Monitoring MLP Connections Note Framed-Protocol=PPP, Framed-IP-Address=255.255.255.254, Cisco-avpair = "lcp:interface-config=ppp multilink", Cisco-avpair = "lcp:interface-config=ppp multilink interleave", Cisco-Policy-Down = "policy_mlpoe_in" A PPPoE session shaper is required on the virtual template, or must be applied through RADIUS to avoid flooding a downstream device such as an ADSL2+. Verifying and Monitoring MLP Connections To verify and monitor MLP connections, enter the following commands in privileged EXEC mode: Command Router# debug ppp multilink events Router# show atm pvc Router# show interfaces type number Router# show interfaces virtual-access number [configuration] Router# show interfaces multilink group-number [stat] Router# show ppp multilink [bundle-interface] Router# show running-config Purpose Displays information about events affecting multilink groups established for Bandwidth Allocation Control Protocol (BACP). Displays all ATM permanent virtual circuits (PVCs) and traffic information. Displays statistics for the interface you specify. If you do not specify a specific interface, statistics display for all interfaces configured on the router. Displays status, traffic data, and configuration information about the virtual access interface you specify. Note This command currently displays statistics for system traffic only. Statistics for bundle traffic do not display. For information about bundle traffic, see the show interfaces or show ppp multilink command. number is the number of the virtual access interface. (Optional) configuration restricts output to configuration information. Displays configuration information about the MLP bundle you specify. group-number is a nonzero number that identifies the multilink bundle. (Optional) stat displays traffic statistics for the MLP bundle such as the number of packets in and out. Displays bundle information for all of the MLP bundles and their PPP links configured on the router. (Optional) bundle-interface specifies the multilink interface (for example, Multilink5). If you specify bundle-interface, the command displays information for only that specific bundle. Note

A PPPoE session shaper is required on the virtual template, or must be applied through RADIUS to avoid

flooding a downstream device such as an ADSL2+.

Verifying and Monitoring MLP Connections

To verify and monitor MLP connections, enter the following commands in privileged EXEC mode:

debug ppp multilink events

Displays information about events affecting multilink groups

established for Bandwidth Allocation Control Protocol (BACP).

Router#

show atm pvc

Displays all ATM permanent virtual circuits (PVCs) and traffic

information.

Router#

show interfaces

type number

Displays statistics for the interface you specify. If you do not

specify a specific interface, statistics display for all interfaces

configured on the router.

Router#

show interfaces virtual-access

number

Displays status, traffic data, and configuration information about

the virtual access interface you specify.

Note

This command currently displays statistics for system

traffic only. Statistics for bundle traffic do not display.

number

is the number of the virtual access interface.

(Optional)

configuration

restricts output to configuration

information.

Router#

show interfaces multilink

group-number

Displays configuration information about the MLP bundle you

specify.

group-number

is a nonzero number that identifies the multilink

bundle.

(Optional)

stat

displays traffic statistics for the MLP bundle such

as the number of packets in and out.

Router#

show ppp multilink

bundle-interface

]

Displays bundle information for all of the MLP bundles and their

PPP links configured on the router.

(Optional)

bundle-interface

specifies the multilink interface (for

example, Multilink5).

If you specify

bundle-interface

, the command displays

information for only that specific bundle.

show running-config

Displays information about the current router configuration,

including information about each interface configuration.
