Changing the Display Background (SPA962) Chapter 3 Managing Linksys 900 Series IP Phones • Swedish • Czech • Slovak The end user can change the language of the phone from the user menu, by following these steps: 1. Press the Menu button. 2. Select Language (option 18). 3. Select Edit to change language. 4. Select Option to change the language. 5. Select OK and Save. Changing the Display Background (SPA962) This section applies only to the SPA962, which has a color LCD display with a customized background. You use any 320 x 240 pixel .BMP image for the background image that appears on the LCD display. You can include the definition of the required parameters in the configuration profile for the SPA962, or use the administration web server. The parameters are as follows: • Picture download URL-The URL identifying the location of the .BMP file to be used as the background image, including the TFTP server name (or IP address), the directory, and the filename. For example: tftp://myserver.mydomain.com/images/962back.bmp The background image should be 320X240 pixels and must be in .BMP format. • Current Background Picture-Select Default to use the default image; select Downloaded to use a customized background image. To use the administration web server to configure a customized image perform the following steps: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Copy the 320X240 pixel .BMP image that you want to use to a TFTP server that is accessible from the SPA962. Connect a browser to the administration web server for the SPA962. Click the Phone tab and scroll down to the Background Picture section at the bottom of the page (see Figure 3-4).
