The screw prevents access to the Processor and Memory Module, and the I/O module. There is also a shipping screw between the Processor and Memory Module and the I/O module. 1. Accessing the Existing I/O Module
The ProLiant 8500 server has a top latch security screw on the top access
panel, as shown in Figure 2. The screw prevents access to the Processor and
Memory Module, and the I/O module. There is also a shipping screw between
the Processor and Memory Module and the I/O module.
1. Loosen the thumbscrews and slide the server out of the rack until it is
fully extended.
