Using IP surveillance Software (continued) Monitor Program (continued) The Admin Privilege In the monitor program, the admin has the right to access the DCS-2000 Network Camera through this application software and change the local settings as well. But the admin password for the software is not the same as the admin password for the Internet camera. You can change the settings of each selected Internet camera from the monitor program only if you have the admin password for the Internet camera. If you have the admin privilege, you have the right to do the following tasks: Run the configuration tool Change the recording schedule Change the local settings Again, if you need to change the settings of the DCS-2000, you must have the administrator's password for the camera itself. Camera Configurations When you log in for the first time, you should configure this application software to connect the DCS-2000 in "Configuration Menu > Camera Configurations", shown in the figure below. You will need the admin (administrator) password for the camera in order to run the configuration. Once you click "Configuration Menu > Camera Configurations" for setting each camera, all recording processes will be stopped indicated by a warning window popped up in advance to keep you informed. 73
