Removing the front-bezel heat sensor cable NOTE: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in Before working inside your computer. For more safety best practices, see the Regulatory Compliance home page at www.dell.com/ regulatory_compliance. Prerequisites 1. Remove the stability foot. 2. Remove the left and right side-panels. See "Removing the side panels". 3. Remove the PCI fan. Procedure 1. Disconnect the front-bezel heat sensor cable from the system board. 2. Remove the front-bezel heat sensor cable from the routing guides on the chassis. 3. Remove the two screws (M3x5.25) that secure the PCI fan holder to the chassis. 4. Slide and remove the PCI fan holder from the chassis. 5. Push the release tab and pry the front-bezel heat-sensor cable off the chassis. 70
