Appendix A When creating new waypoints using Loran TD coordinates you muset set the correct loran chain number and secondary sta- tions in the Setup TD field before storing the waypoint. After Loran TD the waypoint is stored in unit memory, it will always reference the loran chain number and secondary stations currently Position Format selected in the Setup TD field. If you enter a different loran chain number or change the secondary stations in the Setup TD field, the active waypoint information will frflect those changes. Since the GPS 48 does not rely on the loran signal for navigation, it can refer- ence a different GRI chain and/or secondary stations and still navigate to the location stored in memory. To change the Setup TD settings: 1. Highlight the 'Position Frmt' field on the navigation setup menu, and press E. Select LORAN TD, and press E. 2. Select the field to change, and press E. 3. If you enter a different loran
