The following list shows the abbreviations for lit and unlit navaid labels followed by a brief description of the abbreviation. APPENDIX D Navaid Abbreviations Lit Navaid Abbreviations F Fixed - continuous and steady light FL Single Flashing - flash repeated on given time period, not to exceed 30 per minute FL(2) Group Flashing - group of regularly repeating flashes FL(2+1) Composite Group Flashing - a complex light FFL Fixed and Flashing - fixed light combined with a flashing light of higher intensity Q Quick Flashing - light flashes at a rate of 60 flashes per minute VQ Very Quick - light flashes at a rate greater than 60 flashes per minute OC Occulating - alternating light and dark with duration of light longer than dark ISO Isophase - alternating light and dark with duration of light and dark equal.
