Main Menu >  Units Setup The Units Setup Page allows you to select the units of measurement for your GPSMAP 96/96C. To use the Units Setup feature: 1. Access the Units Setup Page. 2. Use the ROCKER and ENTER keys to highlight the various units fields, and select a unit from the lists. Location Setup The Location Setup Page allows you to define settings for Position Format, Map Datum, Heading, and Magnetic Variation. To open the Location tab, press MENU twice to open the Main Menu. Select Setup from the vertical tab list. Then select Location from the row of tabs along the top of the page. Refer to the Appendix of this guide for more information about location formats and map datum. Also visit the National Imagery and Mapping Agency at http://www.nima.mil, for more information on grids and datum. Position Format-changes the coordinate system in which a given position reading is shown. You should only change the position format if you are using a map or chart that specifies a different position format or wish to use a format you are familiar with. The default format is latitude and longitude in degrees, minutes, and thousandths of a minute (hddd°mm. mmm). Units Setup
The Units Setup Page allows you to select the units of
measurement for your GPSMAP 96/96C.
To use the Units Setup feature:
1.
Access the Units Setup Page.
2.
Use the

Location Setup
The Location Setup Page allows you to define settings
for Position Format, Map Datum, Heading, and
Magnetic Variation. To open the Location tab, press

Position Format
