Basic Operation >  A waypoint can also be created by projecting the distance and bearing from a specific location to a new location. To create a new waypoint by projecting its location: 1. Create a waypoint using your favorite method (discussed in previous sections) or select a waypoint from the Find Waypoints List. 2. Press MENU to open the New Waypoint Page Options Menu. Project Waypoint Option 3. Use the ROCKER to highlight Project Waypoint, and press ENTER to show the Project Waypoint Page. 4. To set the distance that the new waypoint is be projected beyond the original waypoint, highlight the Distance portion of the From field, and press ENTER. Use the ROCKER to adjust the distance, and press ENTER. To adjust the bearing that the new waypoint is projected from the original waypoint, highlight the Bearing portion of the From field and press ENTER. Use the ROCKER to adjust the bearing, and press ENTER. When you have adjusted all elements of the projected location, highlight Map or GoTo, and press ENTER. To save the new waypoint, press QUIT. 5. A waypoint can also be created by projecting the
distance and bearing from a specific location to a new
location.
To create a new waypoint by projecting its
location:
1.
Create a waypoint using your favorite method
(discussed in previous sections) or select a
waypoint from the Find Waypoints List.
2.
Press
MENU
to open the New Waypoint Page
Options Menu.
Project Waypoint

Use the
ROCKER
to highlight Project
Waypoint, and press
ENTER
to show the
Project Waypoint Page.
4.
To set the distance that the new waypoint is
be projected beyond the original waypoint,
highlight the Distance portion of the From field,

the distance, and press
ENTER
.
To adjust the bearing that the new waypoint is
projected from the original waypoint, highlight
the Bearing portion of the From field and
press

When you have adjusted all elements of the
projected location, highlight Map or GoTo,

ENTER
. To save the new waypoint,
press
