Chapter 2 System Messages and Recovery Procedures for the Cisco MDS 9000 Family Send documentation comments to [email protected] Error Message FCDOMAIN-2-EPORT_ISOLATED: Isolation of interface [chars] (reason: [chars]). Explanation The domain manager has isolated the interface because of the reason shown in the error message. Enter show interface. Based on the reason specified, you might have to reinitialize the port or ensure the domains are adequate and unique in the VSAN and perform a disruptive restart by entering fcdomain restart disruptive. Recommended Action No action is required. Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 1.2(2a). Error Message FCDOMAIN-2-FC2_INITIALIZATION_FAILED: FC initialization sequence failed. Explanation The domain manager process has not been able to complete the initialization sequence with the FC (Fibre Channel) subsystem. The domain manager depends on resources not available at the moment. The switch might be short in memory or some other component might be unable to provide the necessary information to the domain manager. Recommended Action No action is required. Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 1.2(2a). Error Message FCDOMAIN-2-FC2BIND_FAILED: Bind to FC2 Service failed. Explanation The domain manager has not been able to contact the FC2 module. Recommended Action If you purchased Cisco support through a Cisco reseller, contact the reseller directly. If you purchased support directly from Cisco Systems, contact Cisco Technical Support. Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 1.2(2a). Error Message FCDOMAIN-2-FCID_PERSISTENT_TBL_COMPLETELY_FULL: FCID persistent table is completely full. Explanation The domain manager has the FC ID persistent table full with entries. Enter show fcdomain fcid persistent to view the entries currently in the table. No more entries can be saved as persistent FC IDs across reboots. Recommended Action Enter purge fcdomain fcid to purge stale entries and to obtain more free entries. Alternatively, you can disable the feature on certain VSANs which are not critical using no fcdomain fcid persistent. Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 1.2(2a). 2-74 Cisco MDS 9000 Family System Messages Reference OL-15956-01
