To revert to the default values, use the no form of the command. fctimer {d_s_tov milliseconds [vsan vsan-id] | e_d_tov milliseconds [vsan vsan-id] | r_a_tov milliseconds [vsan vsan-id]} no fctimer {d_s_tov milliseconds [vsan vsan-id] | e_d_tov milliseconds [vsan vsan-id] | r_a_tov milliseconds [vsan vsan-id]} Syntax Description d_s_tov milliseconds e_d_tov milliseconds r_a_tov milliseconds vsan vsan-id Specifies the distributed services time out value. The range is 5000 to 100000 milliseconds. Specifies the error detect time out value. The range is 1000 to 100000 milliseconds, with a default of 2000. Specifies the resolution allocation time out value. The range is 5000 to 100000 milliseconds, with a default of 10000. Specifies the VSAN ID. The range is 1 to 4096. Command Modes Configuration mode. Usage Guidelines The Cisco MDS 9000, Brocade, and McData FC Error Detect (ED_TOV) and Resource Allocation (RA_TOV) timers default to the same values. They can be changed if needed. In accordance with the FC-SW2 standard, these values must be the same on each switch within in the fabric. Use the vsan option to configure different TOV values for VSANs with special types of links like FC or IP tunnels.
