System board NOTE: The system board spare part kit includes replacement thermal material. Description System board with Celeron N2806 processor (includes replacement thermal material) Spare part number 778814-001 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 22). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40). 6. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 37). 7. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 28) and disconnect the touchpad cable from the connector located under the keyboard. When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the following components from the defective system board and install on the replacement system board: ● Memory module (see Memory module on page 24) ● WLAN/Bluetooth module (see WLAN/Bluetooth combo card on page 26) ● Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 33) Remove the system board: 1. Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.

5.
Remove the battery (see

6.
Remove the hard drive (see

).
7.
Remove the keyboard (see

) and disconnect the touchpad cable from the

When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the following components from the defective system
