Every Jetdirect will create a self-signed certificate the first time it is powered on. Each Jetdirect has a unique selfsigned certificate. For small environments, trusting the selfsigned certificate (by storing the certificate on the client) may be all that is needed for security. We can take a look at this certificate by pressing "View..." under the heading "Jetdirect Certificate" The subject and issuer names are the same - that is the first clue that it is a self-signed certificate. Because the selfsigned is generated at first time power up, there are no DNS names or IP addresses associated with it. 29
