HP700/92 Emulation 12 HP700/92 Emulation This chapter describes features of the Hewlett Packard 700/92 terminal emulation. Introduction The emulation of the Hewlett Packard 700/92 terminal is entered by displaying the Emulation Settings dialog box from the Settings menu and setting the Alpha Emulation option to HP70092. Clicking Ok will close the dialog box and TeemTalk will be in HP700/92 mode, as indicated by the following row of buttons displayed along the bottom of the window. These buttons indicate the current function of keys F1 through F8 on the keyboard and are described in the Buttons & Function Keys section following the keyboard mapping illustrations overleaf. The two numbers in the middle button indicate the current line and column position of the cursor. The display area is 80 columns wide by 24 lines deep by default, and 72 lines are stored off-screen. You can toggle between 80 and 132 column display by pressing the function key F12. The HP700/92 emulation is configured for host communications via the HP70092 Settings dialog box which is described in the Setup Menus chapter. The following sections provide information on keyboard mapping, how to use the onscreen buttons and equivalent function keys, programming keys, and how to specify character display attributes. Keyboard Mapping The following illustrations show where HP700/92 keyboard functions are mapped to keys on the Enhanced AT, Sun 5, Sun 4 and HP 9000 series keyboard layouts. 12-1
