Installing TeemTalk On UNIX Based Products Installing From CD To install TeemTalk from the CD: 1. Log in as root, change to the root directory of the CD and run the TeemTalk installation script. ./install 2. When prompted, specify the product type and Unix system that you are installing to. Thereafter the installation will continue automatically. Details on how to install the licence key and further information on the installation are included in the file readme. Installing From Tape Super-user privileges will be required to perform the installation. To install TeemTalk from the tape: 1. Create a temporary directory into which the contents of the tape can be placed. For example: mkdir /teemtalk_temp cd /teemtalk_temp 2. Extract the tape contents using the following command: tar xvf /dev/ where is specific to each machine type, as listed in the table on the previous page. Note: In all cases the device specified should reference the no- rewind tape device. 3. Execute the ./readtape loader script. This will list a number of machine targets and graphic user interface (GUI) styles. Select the one that matches your machine model. ./readtape will then load the required files for your system. 4. Execute the ./install installation script. This will move the extracted files to the correct destination directories as well as converting font definition files to the architecture of your machine. 2-2
