Installing NetWare 6.5 on a 4 GB hard disk drive Issue: If you have a 4GB capacity hard disk drive, during NetWare installation you may see a pop-up window display insufficient active DOS partition... even though an active DOS partition already exists. Cause: This problem is caused by a defect in NWNSTLL.EXE file for the NetWare installation utility. Solution: There are 2 solutions to resolve this issue: 1. At the pop-up window just press the Enter key, the installation will continue to the end. This error will NOT create any problem to the operating system. 2. Obtain the 4GBFIX.EXE files from Novell web site at: http://support.novell.com and follow the instructions in the .TXT file (included with the self-extracting file) to install NetWare. Section 6.
