In the -d parameter, specify the name of an offline bundle file you copied in step 1. Make sure that the SATP claim rule for HDLM has been applied. Execute the following command, and make sure that the claim rule appears in the command output: >esxcli --server=host-name --username=user-name -password=password storage nmp satp rule list | findstr HTI_SATP_HDLM 6. Restart the host. 7. Check the path configuration according to the procedure described in Checking the Path Configuration on page 3-8. Performing a Re-installation of HDLM Before you can re-install HDLM, you must remove the existing installation. To re-install HDLM: 1. Prepare for HDLM uninstallation by following the directions in Preparations for HDLM Uninstallation on page 3-15. 2. Uninstall HDLM from the host and remote management client by following the directions in Uninstalling HDLM on page 3-16. 3. Install HDLM on the remote management client and the host by following the directions in Performing a New Installation of HDLM on page 3-5. Checking the Path Configuration HDLM functions, such as load balancing and failover, are only available for HDLM management-target devices that have more than one active path.
