Having uninstalled HDLM from the host, next uninstall it from the remote management client. Uninstalling HDLM from a remote management client 1. Start the uninstaller. From Control Panel, choose Programs and Features. From the list of programs, select Dynamic Link Manager for VMware, and click the Uninstall button. Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Vista support User Account Control (UAC). Therefore, if you perform an uninstallation on the remote management client as a user other than Administrator, you might be asked for administrator permissions. If you are asked for administrator permissions, respond to the displayed dialog box. 2. Follow the instructions shown in the messages that appear in the window. 3. If a dialog box is appears, notifying you that the uninstallation finishes, click the OK button to close the dialog box. Performing an unattended uninstallation of HDLM on a remote management client 1. Insert the HDLM installation DVD-ROM. 2. Launch the Administrator: Command Prompt window. 3. Execute the following command to perform an unattended uninstallation. >msiexec /x "full-path-of-the-msi-file-name" /qn /Lv* %systemdrive%\hdlmvminst.log 4. Confirm that HDLM has been uninstalled.
