6 DSC OPERATION n Transmitting DSC calls (Continued) D Transmitting a Polling Request call Transmit a Polling Request call when you want to know a specific ship is in the communication area, or not. q Push [MENU] to enter the DSC menu. w Push [Y] or [Z] to select "POLL REQUEST," then push [ENT]. Scrolls e Push [Y] or [Z] to select a desired pre-programmed Individual address or "MANUAL INPUT," then push [ENT]. • The ID code for the individual can be set in advance. (p. 14) • W hen "MANUAL INPUT" is selected, set the 9-digit MMSI ID code for the individual you wish to call with [Y] or [Z].
