3. Settings and adjustments for recording (continued) Monitor adjustment The color contrast, brightness, etc. are adjusted by sending built-in color bar signals of the main unit to the PC monitor. Depending on the system, set the MONITOR mode to VGA or SXGA. (Set using the main unit dip switches) Monitor settings ( ੬ page 24) 2. Connect the monitor and MONITOR terminal. 3. Set dip switches 3 and 4 on the rear of the main unit to ON. ON 1 2 3 4 Dip switches MEMO Turn the power off before setting the dip switches. Setting the switches with the power on will not change the settings. 4. Turn the main unit power on. 5. Adjust the video monitor. MEMO • For the adjustment method, see the instruction manual of the video monitor. • The peak level of the color bar is et to 0.7V. To change the setting to 0.58V, select BAR LEVEL in the SYSTEM SETTING screen ( ੬ Page 58). 6. When completed, turn off the system power., then set dip switch 4 to OFF. E28
