23 VOICE GUIDANCE This function is to play a voice guidance to notify you of the frequency, memory channel information, and other operating status shown on the display. SETTING VOICE GUIDANCE MODE 1 Access Menu No. 916. Voice Guidance Volume This function is to set the volume level of the voice guidance. 1 Access Menu No. 917. 2 Select a volume level among from [Level 1] to [Level 7]. A higher number results in a higher volume. 2 Select [Off], [Manual], [Auto1], or [Auto2]. [Off]: Turn off the voice guidance function. [Manual]: Announce the current status when pressing [ ]. [Auto1]: Announce the status or displayed information changed by the operation. [Auto2]: Announce the status or displayed information changed by the operation. In case of announcing a memory channel, the memory name is announced instead of the frequency when a memory name is registered. Note: ◆◆ Voice guidance are available in English only. ◆◆ If you press [PF2] + Power ON when the transceiver power is OFF, the transceiver power turns ON and the voice guidance is set to [Auto1]. 3 Press [A/B]. The volume level set. Callsign Announce This function is to announce the Callsign when a D-STAR signal is received. Voice Guidance Volume
This function is to set the volume level of the voice guidance.

This function is to announce the Callsign when a D-STAR
signal is received. It enables you to know the Callsign without
