A destination registered on this machine is called an Address Book. You can register up to 2000 one-touch destinations in the address book. The destination types that can be registered are E-mail address, computer name, etc. depending on the transmission mode. dReference Address books can also be registered using Web Connection. For details on how to register, refer to [Web Management Tool] in the User's Guide CD. 6.6.2 Registering address books Registering from the Utility 1 Tap [Utility], then select [One-Touch/User Box Registration]. 2 Select [Create One-Touch Destination] - [Address Book (Public)]. 3 Select the type of destinations to register, then tap [New]. 4 Configure respective items, then tap [OK]. Common settings [No.] [Name] [Sort Character] [Index] Description Use the Keypad to enter the registration number for a one-touch destination. If no number is entered, the smallest number available is assigned to the destination. Enter the registration name for the one-touch destination. You can enter up to 24 characters. Enter the same name as the one registered. You can enter up to 24 characters. You can sort destinations by registration name. Select a search text. Destinations are displayed on the top screen in the fax/scan mode as sorted by index specified here. For a frequently used destination, specify the index characters and select [Favorites] at the same time. This allows you to find it more easily. The registered content of [Fax] Settings [Fax Number] Description Enter a destination fax number. • When you use this machine in a PBX environment, tap [Outside] ([E-] ap- pears). A registered outside line number is automatically inserted. • When you use this machine in a PBX environment, tap [Pause] following the outside line number ([P] appears) to ensure the dialing is successful. • If you want to send out a push signal over the dial line, tap [Tone] ([T] ap- pears). • Tap [-] to separate a dial number.
