Whenever HDD Format is executed, be sure to set the Enhanced Security Mode to [ON] again. Items of Data Cleared User Registration Account registration data Destination recipient data files Box registration data/file Device certificate (SSL/TLS certificate) Audit log Image files Enhanced Security Mode SSL-compliant protocol User Authentication Account Track Authentication Memory RX Setting Description Deletes user-related data that has been registered, including user names and user passwords Deletes account track-related data that has been registered, including account names and account passwords Deletes all destination recipient data including e-mail addresses and telephone numbers Deletes all registered information and saved files relating to the following user boxes. Items cleared by HDD Format
Following are the items that are cleared by HDD Format.
Whenever HDD Format is executed, be sure to set the Enhanced Security Mode to [ON] again.
Items of Data Cleared
Description
User Registration
Deletes user-related data that has been registered, including user names
and user passwords
Account registration data
Deletes account track-related data that has been registered, including ac-
count names and account passwords
Destination recipient data
files
Deletes all destination recipient data including e-mail addresses and tele-
phone numbers
Box registration data/file
Deletes all registered information and saved files relating to the following
user boxes. Data to be deleted depends on the type of user box
Annotation User Box
Memory RX User Box
Password Encrypted PDF User Box
ID & Print User Box
Secure Print User Box
Device certificate (SSL/TLS
certificate)
Deletes all device certificates (SSL/TLS certificates) but the default one
registered in the machine
Audit log
Deletes audit log that has been registered
Image files
Image files other than Secure Print documents, ID & Print documents,
and User Box files
Data files left in the HDD data space, used as image files and not de-
leted through the general deletion operation
