7.1 Restricting users of this machine (MFP authentication) 7 Item [E-mail Address] [User Password is changed.] [User Password] [Retype User Password] [Account Name] [Specify Icon] [Temporarily stop use] [Function Permission] [Output Permission(Print)] [Output Permission(TX)] [Max. Allowance Set] [Limiting Access to Destinations] Description Enter the E-mail address of the user (up to 320 characters). Select this check box to change the password. This item is displayed when editing the registered information. Enter a password (up to 64 characters, excluding space and "). Reenter the password for confirmation (up to 64 characters). Enter an account name of the user. Before you specify an account name, you must register the account. This item is displayed if user authentication and account track are synchronized. If you have omitted the account name, the user must specify the user and account name when the user log in for the first time. The account name that the user specify at the first login time will be registered as the account name of the user. If the account information is changed after the account name has been specified, the user and the account will be dissociated. From [Search from List], select an icon for the user. Select whether to temporarily disable a registered user. This item is available when temporarily disabling registered users without deleting them. If you select [Stop Job], the target user cannot log in to or use this machine. This function is available when the MFP authentication is enabled. Specify whether to permit [Copy], [Scan], [Save to External Memory], [External Memory Document Scan], [Fax], [Print], [User Box], [Print Scan/Fax TX], [Manual Destination Input], [Mobile/PDA], and [Biometric/IC Card Information Registration]. Select whether to allow Color and Black printing. Select whether to allow the user to send color images. Specify the maximum numbers of printed sheets and User Boxes. To specify the limit, select the appropriate check box and enter the desired limit value. Restrict address book entries the user can access. To specify the reference allowed groups, select this check box and select groups from the list. You can select one or more reference allowed groups. To specify the access allowed level, select the check box and specify the access allowed level. Before you specify the reference allowed groups, you must register reference allowed groups. For details, refer to page 8-36. Prior check Reference - You cannot register a password less than eight characters when [Security Settings]ö[Security Details]ö[Password Rules] is set to [Enable] in the [Administrator Settings] on the Control Panel. If a user password containing less than eight characters has already been registered, change the password so that it contains eight characters before setting [Password Rules] to [Enable]. - If you permit the public user access, you can configure the Function Permission and Limiting Access to Destinations settings for the public user.
