Step 4: Install memory and option cards CAUTION! If you are installing memory or option cards sometime after setting up the printer, turn the printer off and unplug the power cord and any other cables before continuing. You can customize your printer memory capacity and connectivity by adding optional cards or hard disk. Removing the system board access cover 1 Locate the access cover on the back of the printer. 2 Loosen the four screws at the top of the access cover, but do not remove the screws completely. 3 Remove the four screws at the bottom of the cover. 4 Slide the cover down to remove it. 5 Use the illustration on page 23 to locate the connector for the card you want to install. 22 Install memory and option cards

Removing the system
board access cover

Locate the access cover on the
back of the printer.

of the access cover, but do not
