MS-6580 ATX Mainboard Flash Protection This function protects the BIOS from accidental corruption by unauthorized users or computer viruses. When enabled, the BIOS data cannot be changed when attempting to update the BIOS with a Flash utility. To successfully update the BIOS, you'll need to disable this Flash protection function. Setting options: Enabled, Disabled. System BIOS Cacheable Selecting Enabled allows caching of the system BIOS ROM at F0000hFFFFFh, resulting in better system performance. However, if any program writes to this memory area, a system error may result. Setting options: Enabled, Disabled. C000, 32k Shadow This item specifies how the contents of the adapter ROM named in the item are handled.
