12 - 58 Symbol LS2208 Product Reference Guide Bi-directional Redundancy Enable Bi-directional Redundancy for added security to linear code type security levels. When enabled, a bar code must be successfully scanned in both directions (forward and reverse) before reporting a good decode. Enable Bi-directional Redundancy *Disable Bi-directional Redundancy Intercharacter Gap Size The Code 39 and Codabar symbologies have an intercharacter gap that is typically quite small. Due to various bar code printing technologies, this gap can grow larger than the maximum size allowed, preventing decode. If this occurs, select Large Intercharacter Gaps to tolerate these out-of-specification bar codes. *Normal Intercharacter Gaps Large Intercharacter Gaps
