Getting Started Charging the Battery New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you can use your phone, you need to install and charge the battery for 24 hours as described in the following steps. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. Action 1 Remove the sync/ charger cover. 2 Plug battery charger or USB data cable connector into the sync/charger port. 3 Plug the other end of the charger into the electrical outlet. If using the USB cable, plug the other end of the cable to your personal computer's USB port. 4 Your phone will indicate a full charge before 24 hours have passed, however, allow your phone to charge for the full 24 hours before first use. 19
