Sending and Receiving Calls This chapter explains how to make and receive phone calls, view Call History, and create shortcuts to help you manage calls more efficiently. Making a Call There are several ways to make a call. The easiest way is to dial a phone number from the Home screen. To make a call • On the Home screen, press the numbers on the keypad to enter the phone number, and then press Talk s. To make a call by entering a contact name 1 On the Home screen, press the keys on the keypad to spell the contact name. For example, to call Scott, press 7, 2, 6, 8, 8. 2 When the contact name displays, select it, and press Talk s. If you do not find the contact , press and hold B to clear the display. Note: As you enter a phone number or contact name, the phone searches Contacts, Call History, Speed Dial lists, and the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to find a matching name and/or number.
